More Haikus

The counting drags on
Over hump into the dark;
Empty screaming Dark

Presidents, they fail;
Time, opportunities slip.
Nothing is achieved.

Thanksgiving arrives,
Families remain apart;
And a virus smiles.

They count and they count;
Then they sleep for a few hours.
And find more ballots.

The weekend comes on;
A ball lands in an endzone.
Many beers are drunk.
